The 2014 edition of what I call Vineland’s “soul” wine is pure measured power and grace. This elegant Riesling is like a high tech jet fighter with the ability to deliver with precision at all angles and speeds. At the start, there is a restrained nervous energy that a couple of swirls in the glass releases with an array of hardwood fruits and bright citrus notes. The racy acidity provides a clean crisp symmetry to the fruit interplay while delivering control to this dynamic wine. A light hint of natural bitterness brings this semi dry wine back for a graceful touchdown and sets you up perfectly for your next flight.
