This Bo-Teek Vineyard born Chardonnay was intentionally left on the fine lees from fermentation when it was bottled. The light “dust” in the bottle that will cause a slight haze when stirred is there because it adds a complexity to the flavour and a breadth to the mouthfeel. Simply put, it is a far better tasting wine as presented as opposed to filtered clear. The sparky Honeycrisp apple, lemon and summer melon notes roll on an underpinning of warm brioche and lightly roasted nuts. On the palate the wine is rich and pleasantly fat with a bright supporting acidity. “Broad shoulders” describes this full Chardonnay as it can effortlessly carry a flavourful meal with grace and elegance.
